There are different types of meetings such as speaker meetings or check-in. There are also special focus eg women or intimacy avoidance. Explore them and decide which type works for you.

women’s meetings do this to demonstrate that they are safe and all attendees have verified that they are women. a man in recovery will not attempt to join a women’s meeting, it would not be worth his sobriety. a man in active addiction might try but it would be unusal

The Telemeeting Intergroup lists Marathon Holiday Meetings and Fellowship SAA Events.
Recently, the ISA Intergroup has hosted 10-hour OPEN (members and guests) meetings for:
- New Years Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day (U.S.)
- Thanksgiving (American)
- Christmas
- New Year’s Eve
