LGBTQ+ Resources

In addition to resources for all members and resources in support of the woman sex addict, there are additional resources for the lesbian, gay, binary, transgender, queer, questioning, non-binary, and other SAA members, who do not fit into traditional boxes.

“We keep in mind always that the solution in the SAA program is the same regardless of gender or any other identifying factors: meetings and the suggested Twelve Steps of recovery worked with a sponsor. Even so, to support the woman newcomer in staying with the program, we have developed some special resources for individual members and for groups”

LGBTQ+ Outreach Committee

The LGBT Outreach Committee is a service organization, a part of the International Service Organization (ISO) of Sex Addicts Anonymous. The site includes information about LGBT member stories and recordings from the Annual SAA Convention, and more. LGBTQ+ members can contact the committee using email at lgbt@saa-recovery.org

Mission:

The LGBT Outreach Subcommittee of the General Outreach Committee is tasked with developing and providing outreach activities to sex addicts in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities, as well as to current LGBT members within Sex Addicts Anonymous.  SAA members of all genders and sexual orientations are invited to participate in developing methods to best carry the message of SAA recovery to sex addicts within these communities.

Their website contains information, resources, and assistance for SAA members who identify as LGBTQ+. LGBTQ+ members can contact the committee to request Sponsorship assistance, using email at lgbt@saa-recovery.org However, the LGBT website recommends that women needing sponsors, telemeeting information, and other program support should contact the Women’s Outreach Committee, instead.

“Our fellowship is open to women and men, regardless of age, race, religion, ethnic background, marital status, or occupation. We welcome members of any sexual identity or orientation, whether they are gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, or transgender.”
